No matter what you’re studying, where you’re located or what level of qualification you’re undertaking, ALL students of the University of the Highlands and Islands have access to careers and employability support throughout their student journey.
Iain Eisner and Helen Anton from the Careers and Employability Centre encourage students to see career decisions not as ‘problems to be solved’, but an amazing chance to be curious, look creatively at possibilities and consider what opportunities exist across the Highlands and Islands and beyond.
Your time studying with us presents a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills, build your confidence and explore your options. We believe that Action Changes Things and if you ACT now you will be better prepared for life after your course and ready for the next steps on your journey to the future.
As a student of the university you can make an appointment for a career conversation (by telephone, e-mail or video conference), personalised CV and application form support, interview preparation and job searching. You can also access career development workshops/events and a range of career and employability information. All of this can be done though our online careers portal, FutureMe, to which all students have access. Simply click the FutureMe tile on MyDay or login here with your normal UHI username and password.
