Opportunities

On Campus Volunteering

HISA has a number of volunteer opportunities.

We also offer training and support from our staff team, to make sure you get the most out of your experience.

Why not put your hand up to be Student Voice Rep

Scott Anderson from Argyll College (pictured) did just that, you can read about his experience.

Josh Smith from Lews Castle College volunteered as a Student Voice Rep for two years and recently won the Sparqs Student Engagement Award 2017 for Best Student Voice Rep.

You can also get involved with one of our HISA Clubs or Societies, like golfing-enthusiast Sebastiano at North Highland College or Joe Penhaul-Smith who set up the UHI Wind and Wave Club at SAMS.

Whatever you're interested in, we'd love to hear from you: hisa@uhi.ac.uk

Student Ambassadors

There are a number of Student Ambassador programs with the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).

Sam McKenzie found volunteering as an ambassador with Inverness College helped him with his social anxiety.

You can also register here to be among student volunteers who are called on for campus events, committees, student focus groups and reviews.
