Dè th' ann an Seachdain na Gàidhlig? 

Tha an t-seachdain seo mu dheidhinn brosnachadh na Gàidhlig am measg luchd-labhairt ‘s daoine a tha airson ionnsachadh, ann an Alba agus thall thairis!

 

‘S i a’ chiad seachdain Cultair is cànain a-riamh airson na Gàidhlig agus mar sin tha i air leth sònraichte. Bidh measgachadh de thachartasan a’ gabhail àite air feadh na dùthcha gus daoine a chomharrachadh agus a bhogadh ann an saoghal na Gàidhlig.

What is World Gaelic Week?

This week is all about promoting the Gaelic language amongst current speakers and non-speakers, both in Scotland and beyond!

It is the first-ever Culture and language week for Gaelic and therefore is incredibly special. A variety of events will be happening across the country to celebrate and immerse people in the world of Gaelic.

 

We hope you grab hold of this opportunity while you can and throw yourselves into a Gaelic experience like no other!

HISA’s part in the week?

HISA recognises and embraces Gaelic as being an extremely important part of Scottish culture and lies at the heart of what the UHI stands for.

Our Gaelic Communities Coordinator, Maggie Smith, has organised a variety of events that will take place throughout the week, both during the daytime and in the evening
