Clubs & Societies & Networks are groups that bring together students who share common interests. From fashion or accountancy to languages or politics, there are loads you can join and they meet on a regular basis to socialise and share new experiences.

What are they?

Networks are permanent student group, with protected or underrepresented identity aspects that can impact their student experience. These groups are facilitated by staff from your Students' Association and focus on providing safe spaces for students to share experiences, plan activities, and advocate for their needs.

Clubs and Societies are student groups focused around a shared interest, academic focus, identity or non-physical activity.  They are run by committees composed of students.

Sports Clubs are student groups that participate in physical activities including both competitive and non-competivie sports/athletic activty. They are run by committees composed of students, with specialized support from sporting mentors.

Why should I join?

Being part of a group is a great opportunity to meet new people and try something new. They are lots of fun but you’ll also develop skills such as team work and communication that will look great on your CV.

Students who join a student group consistently tell us that it is one of their favourite things about being a UHI student. If you are thinking of joining a group or just want to meet some new people, get involved – you won’t regret it!

How can I get involved?
