Student Voice Reps are voluntary/elected positions that represent their classmates’ views on their student experience. There are reps for every single level of study throughout all of the colleges that make up UHI.

Gathering feedback, and delivering it to staff at your college, is a key part of this role. As a Student Voice Rep, you’ll be able to lobby for change in any part of the student experience, from accommodation to teaching, facilities and more!

Student Voice Reps are a key part of the feedback cycle at HISA. You’ll be working closely with local HISA Officers who will empower and support you to make changes across the student experience, as well as get you involved in their campaigns. You’ll also get to meet other Student Voice Reps from your College, and other Academic Partners, and be part of a network of over 600 students!

By sharing the thoughts and opinions, on behalf of your peers, on important issues at your Academic Partner, and at UHI as a whole, you’ll be able to make positive change to you and your peers experience, as well as the experience of future years. You’ll also be taught how to close the feedback loop to ensure your peers know what changes you’ve been able to implement with their feedback..

This role is voluntary and, depending on the time of year, you’ll usually spend no more than 1-2 hours per week carrying out your duties. On top of that, you’ll be fully trained on our bespoke Student Voice Rep Training course, which we’ve updated and improved for the new academic year.
