Disciplinary procedures are engaged whenever a HISA student group is in breach of the terms of affiliation that they are beholden too while they are affiliated. HISA wants this process to be as accommodating and fair as possible, and will attempt to work towards a mutually beneficial resolution.

• When a student group is in breach of HISA rules, the activities team will attempt to contact the student group to rectify the situation
• The activities team will attempt to contact the group's committee once a week, and after 3 weeks of no response, the society will be considered de-affiliated from HISA
• When contact is successful a meeting will be held between the activities team and representatives from your student group. In this meeting the issues will be discussed until a timetable for resolution is agreed.
• If the student group fails to make acceptable progress towards rectification of the issue in agreed time, they will be disaffiliated.
